Educators, are you teaching from the shoulders up, or the toes up?
The Kinesthetic Classroom began as a professional inquiry into how teachers can better use movement with middle and upper grade students in the classroom setting. Over the 2015-16 school year, Briana and two colleagues developed activities that incorporate movement into the curriculum. In experimenting with classroom seating, developing age appropriate management techniques, and redefining transition-time during a class, the team created a set of resources for teachers to use in the middle school classroom.
